Out of 22 ingredients, 19 ingredients passed without comment.  The two that flagged were Birch sap juice, which is a botanical sensitiser for a small number of users and Disodium EDTA, which stabilises formulas and supports preservatives but is flagged for environmental reasons as it resists biodegradation in surface water once metal-bound.

Birch sap significantly reduced inflammatory cytokine activity in human skin cells (HaCaT keratinocytes). A separate animal model, using orally administered birch sap rather than topical application, found improved skin hydration and barrier recovery — this points to a broader biological effect rather than direct evidence of what happens when birch sap is applied to skin.
